George and Elender's son Thomas J (Marion) Rogers
was born on April 8, 1897, in Lead Hill. He married Dollie Nancy Flippo on March 10, 1918. They had four children during their marriage George, Rhuel, Eldred O, Gene. Thomas died on November 10, 1947, at the age of 50, and was buried in Marion County.
Elender Cubine Ogle Rogers is the Mother of SEVEN generations of the LH George Rogers Family. She was born on July 12, 1864, in Arkansas, her father, was Harkless Ogle and her mother, Mary Elizabeth Travis Ogle. She married George E Rogers in 1880. Living in Sugarloaf Township, Lead Hill they had seven children in 14 years. She died on October 17, 1924, at the age of 60, and was buried in Lead Hill. |
The first Rogers pioneer family lineage began in the Sugarloaf area sometime after 1870 census with Thomas J "Duckie" Rogers a civil war veteran, born in 1834 in Bedford, Tennessee. Thomas Rogers was the first of his Rogers Family to raise his family in the Sugarloaf area. His older brother Samuel Edward Rogers had come to the Sugarloaf area was living in Marion County. Samuel had five children and died on June 21, 1891, at the age of 64. Samuel was buried in Marion, Arkansas however none of his five children remained in the area.
Samuel’s younger Brother Thomas moved to Sugarloaf sometime after the 1870 census. Records indicate Thomas was lived in Green County, Springfield, Missouri area in 1850, marrying his wife Virginia E Willis Hale, 1864. Virginia was a widow and Thomas raised her son John Hale who was sometimes identified as John Rogers. Thomas & Virginia has two children Lilly and George. Both Lilly and step brother John remained in the Springfield area.
Many of the Rogers Family trees identifying Thomas Rogers ancestors align back to immigration from England to Long Island New York, however solid documentation best exist from Isaac Rogers was born in 1750 in Columbus, North Carolina. He married Margaret Jones in 1769 in Virginia. They had 14 children in 30 years. He died in July 1832 in Madison, Alabama, having lived a long life of 82 years. Isaac was the father of Joseph Rogers
Joseph Rogers was born on April 6, 1788, when his parents Isaac and Margaret were living in Laurens, South Carolina. Joseph served in the War of 1812 at the age of 24 and a new stone has recently been placed at the gravesite of he and his wife Nancy. He married Nancy Mullings in 1818 in South Carolina and moved the Rogers family to Green County, Missouri. They had nine children in 21 years. He died on May 3, 1851, in Greene County, at the age of 63, and was buried in Cliquot, Missouri.
His son Thomas J ("Duckie") Rogers born when parents Joseph and Nancy lived Bedford, Tennessee in 1834, the first of his Rogers Family to raise his family (only son George) in the Sugarloaf area. George had moved to the Sugarloaf Area with his parents and remained there marrying Elender Ogle and raising their six sons and one daughter until his death in 1900 in the area at the age of 66.
George E Rogers -1863 and his wife Elender Cubine Ogle Rogers-1864 came to Sugarloaf with George's father Thomas sometime before 1880. George and Elender raised seven children in Sugarloaf. George Rogers died in Lead H-ill in 1944 at the age of 81.

George and Elender's son William Brantley Rogers (Grandpa Will), born on July 1, 1882, married Lula Upshaw and they had three children together: Nora, Flora, Mildred. He then married Daisy Ann Akins and they had eight children together: Frank, John, W.B (Dude)., Tommy, Virginia, Floyd, Avo, Oscar. He died on June 19, 1960, in Lead Hill, at the age of 77. |

William and Lula’s daughter Nora Lee Rogers was born on July 21, 1907. She died on May 13, 1993, in Seminole, Oklahoma, at the age of 85.
William and Lula’s daughter Flora Mae Rogers was born on December 28, 1913. She married Charley Riggs on August 19, 1927. They had three children including Charles and Gynith Riggs Akins and Inith Riggs Livingston. Flora Mae Rogers Riggs died on April 15, 2002, at the age of 88. |

They had four children during their marriage, Fred, Jane Rogers Matlock, Martha, and Roy. He died on November 3, 1986, in Yellville, Arkansas, at the age of 65, and was buried in Marion, Arkansas. |

George and Elender’s son Charles Lee Rogers was born on September 12, 1884, in Lead Hill. He married Effie Becky Akins on March 12, 1905. They had eight children in 17 years. He died on September 30, 1945, in Diamond City, Arkansas, at the age of 61, and was buried in Marion, Arkansas. Their children were Bernice, George, Frank, Dorthy, Josie, Ordial, Mabel, & Thelma.
Charles and Effie Akins Rogers son Bernice Rogers 1910-1978 married Brooksey Clarkson. They had seven children: Delphia, Dean, Emilie, Charlie, Russel, Betty, Terry.
Bernice and Brooksey Clarkson Roger's son Onice Dean Rogers, was born on April 30, 1931, in Lead Hill. He had four sons and one daughter with Beulah Jo Akins, Bobby, Billy, Deanna, Jimmy and Timmy. He died on July 9, 1976 in Lead Hill at the age of 45, and was buried there.
Bernice and Brooksey Clarkson Roger's Daughter Emilie Rogers was born on April 15, 1934. She married VZ Jackson on September 17, 1951, in Harrison, Arkansas. They had three children during their marriage Sandra Jackson Stewart, Sammye Jackson Grymes, and Jeff Jackson. She died on July 26, 2018, at the age of 84.
Charlie Joe Rogers was born on June 13, 1937. He married Mary Ann Rogers and they had two daughters, Shelly Jo & Pamela Ann and a son David during their marriage. He died on August 21, 2020, in Diamond City, Arkansas, at the age of 83.
Terry L Rogers was born in 1950. Terry first married Brenda and they had two children Roger and Missy. He then married Lisha Merriman and they had two boys Heath and Daniel

Margina married Phil Souers. She has a son David Kelley & daughter Katie Allen. Theo died on June 5, 1990, in Arkansas at the age of 75, and was buried in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
