The Ed & Jennie Tatum Family / Howard & Lucille Campbell
The Luke & Susan Boyd Tatum Family and their nine children came from to the Sugarloaf Area on the White River before the mining began and the town of Lead Hill was then called Centerville.. Their children were Tom, Leona, Annie, Minnnie, Edward, Joe, Almus, John & Jim. Son Jim lived many years on his farm near the present Lead Hill School. His daughter Cleta Tatum Parrish still lives on a part of that home place. Their son Ed married Janna (Jennie) Lovelady and Ed served as president of the school board. He also dug by hand many of the graves now in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Ed and Jennie had two daughters Geneva and Lucille. Lucille remained in the Lead Hill area and married Howard Gail Campbell. Howard and Lucille had four children on the 100 year old home place of the Tatum Family. Those children are Sharon Campbell Johnson , Donald, Darrell, & Shari Campbell Holt. Howard served in the Navy and retired from the Arkansas Highway Department and Lucille retired after many years as head cook at the Lead Hill School. The Howard & Lucille spent their entire lives supporting the community, their, church, their children, and the Lead Hill School. They rest next to the Lucille's parents in Milum Cemetery.
