Willis Branch, at the junction of Sugar Loaf Creek, runs through Ira Jackson Smith's property 2 Oct 2010 Lead Hill, Arkansas This photo of Willis Branch was taken from the road where the creek runs over the road. The road meets up with the wagon trail near this point, and is probably about the same area where Ira and family would park the wagon to swell the wooden wheels and keep the metal rims tight. The creek provided water for drinking, cooking, bathing, laundry, and crops. This area is near the junction of Sugar Loaf Creek. |
